The curriculum is structured to progressively increase in complexity from grade 9 to 12.

1. Review of Foundational Grammar: A quick review of the eight parts of speech (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections) to ensure a strong base.
2. Advanced Sentence Structure: Students will learn to construct various sentence types, including simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences, and understand the use of phrases and clauses. They will also focus on avoiding common errors like run-on sentences and fragments.
3. Verb Tenses and Agreement: A detailed study of all 12 verb tenses, including their proper usage in different situations. This includes mastering subject-verb agreement with more complex subjects.
4. Active and Passive Voice: A focus on when and how to use active voice for direct and concise writing and passive voice for stylistic effect or emphasis.
5. Punctuation and Capitalization: An in-depth look at using punctuation marks beyond the basics, including semicolons, colons, dashes, and apostrophes, for both possession and contractions.
6. Direct and Indirect Speech: Learning to convert speech from direct to indirect and vice-versa while correctly applying tense shifts and pronoun changes.
